SciWorld Sundays
FREE interactive family fun for all ages


SciWorld Sunday in Whyalla on June 3, 2012, at the University of South Australia Whyalla campus, on the corner of Nicholson and Norrie Aves, Whyalla. 10am to 3pm. We'll bring StarDomes, hands-on science experiments, Lego Robots, electric circuits, Mini Scientists role play for ages 7 and under (including Andy Thomas' space suit replica), Remabi Park Native Animals and Bugs 'n' Slugs. Free, no booking required.

We are also planning a SciWorld Sunday in Mt Gambier but we're waiting to see when the Town Hall will be ready : )

Zoo SciWorld Sunday in October 2012 10am - 4pm at the Santos Conservation Centre, Adelaide Zoo, Frome Rd
Get up close to some of the Zoo's animals, as well as StarDomes to explore the night sky, Robotics workshops, Mini Scientists role play for ages 7 and under, and lots of hands-on activities for the whole family.

SciWorld Sundays

Come and join us for free family science fairs held throughout the year to crawl inside inflatable Stardomes to gaze at the night sky, and try some hands-on science experiments. Teach a robot to fetch a ball or find out how to make an electric circuit. Listen and watch out for science shows celebrating the International Year of Chemistry.

Very excited about our new "Mini Scientists" activity at SciWorld Sundays in 2011. Join the role play for ages 7 and under and discover the science all around you.

Thanks to almost 3,000 people in Whyalla who came to our science fair on Sunday June 5 in Whyalla at UniSA campus. Our sponsors OneSteel, City of Whyalla, Arafura Resources nd UniSA are all looking forward to supporting the event again next year. Big special thanks to the Young Scientists Australia (Adelaide Chapter) who did science demos non-stop the whole day! Download the brochure (3MB).

3000 people came to the Playford Civic Centre on Sunday May 1 in Elizabeth to share our family science fair, brought to you by Playford Council. We had StarDome astronomy sessions, Remabi Park Native Animal shows, Bugs 'n' Slugs, robotics workshops, chemistry shows, electronics workshops including Hackerspace, Computers Reborn and the Elizabeth Amateur Radio Club, mini-scientist role play, hands-on science experiments, wetland tours, science craft, Mobile Food Co-op, Aquadome health checks, Rotary Club of Elizabeth display, St John's display, and BAE Systems. Come and check out SciWorld, Bugs'n'Slugs, Young Scientists, and Remabi Park Native Animal shows. SciWorld Sundays have been running around South Australia for 5 years, and we're excited to be visiting Whyalla and Mt Gambier in 2012.
